Juan "Karanba"

Juan is a Kuku Yalanji man from the Mossman/Daintree area and has been working as a tour guide in this region for fifteen years. Juan enjoys living, learning and sharing his Aboriginal culture.

He believes that through interacting with visitors and sharing the Kuku Yalanji history and cultural practises, he is preserving the knowledge and continuing the connection between the people and the land.

Juan’s ambition is to continue to learn and maintain the traditions of his people.

Aaron "Kulka Dudu"

A proud Kuku Yalanji man, Aaron is from the Mossman/ Daintree area. He has been guiding with Walkabout Cultural Adventures since 2017.

Having worked the past 11 years as a Police Liasion Officer, Aaron is enjoying the return to tour guiding (which he has over 10 years previous experience in).

Aaron is passionate about his culture and enjoys meeting new people and sharing a glimpse of his culture and background.

Michael "Kurranji"

Michael is a Traditional Owner of the Gamilaroi/Wiradjari nation of the four rivers area, known as the Namoi, Macquarie, Lachlan and Murrbigee rivers.

Michael has lived in the Mossman/Daintree area, for over 36 years, having been adopted into the Kuku Yalanji clan through marriage and his children.

Michael has been tour guiding in this area for over 5 years, and believes that teaching visitors about Aboriginal culture he is creating an understanding and respect for Aboriginal people. He has been guiding with Walkabout Cultural Adventures since 2017.
